NGATI  AUKIWA
                        HOME   PAGE
Kia Ora,
Welcome to a    preliminary Hapu Web Site for Ngati Aukiwa.

We are seeking Hapu based representation in all Te Tiriti O Waitangi based matters combined with Hapu authority over ancestoral whenua and   taonga tukuiho.
With the central organisation being focused back to the Marae, home to Hapu.

Ngati Aukiwa has a working party currently taking steps to implement an
Uri (descendant) based and directed structure, providing descendants of Ngati Aukiwa active participation in Hapu affairs.

The Ngati Aukiwa working party have
recognised the immediate need to establish an effective means of registration then to make information available through the internet and other means.

Many traditionally from Tai Tokerau are living away from the rohe or are born to the city.
It is felt that there is the need to have descendants informed no matter their physical location. Our goal is to re gain the voice of our descendants, especially those living the urban setting , and return the history of our Hapu for the preservation of those to come.

Please if you are a descendant of Ngati Aukiwa or want to find out some names to connect please email. Waimahana Bay is the location of Ngati Aukiwa Hapu, Taupo Bay Rd, Far North.

Kia Ora!
