DR 100 XA, CDR 100 DVD and CDR 100 Recordable
This is the NSM Jukebox solution for data archiving and replication in small and medium sized networks. The CDR 100 jukebox series build upon the same robotics and mechanics which have founded NSM's excellent reputation and its worldwide technology leadership in the area of highend jukeboxes for a range of applications. Additionally NSM's No Touch Technology ensures optimum data integrity since the media itself is protected against any kind of mechanical damage.

The CDR 100 jukebox holds up to 100 CDs or 62.5 GB of data in two magazines of 50 CDs each.

Choose between three versions of CDR 100:

  • CDR 100 XA (read only)
  • CDR 100 Recordable (read/write)
  • CDR 100 DVD (read only)

NSM Jukebox delivers the CDR 100 as part of a complete solution. Software for all the major platforms, such as Windows NT, MacOS, UNIX etc is available from one source.

CDR 100 XA / Recordable is the ideal solution for online access to large suites of Published CDs such as image catalogs or any kind of database. It is also suitable for archiving of data or efficient publishing of CDs.

satellite.gif (13120 bytes)

Introducing Satellite, the third generation of the NSM Jukebox family. Compact, fast and flexible, the NSM Satellite combines proven design techniques with totally new features and capabilities. Its unique modular design provides storage capacity for 60 to 135 CDs, and drive configurations from one to five.

Satellite delivers quality, reliability and speed by using the robotics system proven in thousands of NSM Mercury juke-boxes worldwide. Innovative features of the Mercury series including no-touch tray technology, system controlled mail-slot, operator panel and user diagnostics have also been incorporated into the Satellite design as well as two totally new concepts in CD jukebox design, "Application Flexibility" and "Off-Line Data Management".

The modular design of Satellite uses a standard PC form factor for each of the primary components of the jukebox: Packs, drives, and mail-slot. Each shares the same dimensions as a 5 1/4 inch half height internal device. Packs, drives and the mail-slot are interchangeable, allowing customized configurations of the jukebox. As a result, disc storage capacity, the number of drives and disk to drive ratios can be optimized to match the requirements of an individual application. For example applications which do not require a mail-slot can easily substitute an additional Pack for added data storage capacity.

NSM Satellite Pack Management

Satellite stores its data discs in convenient "Packs". Each Pack holds 15 CDs -10 GB of data stored in a compact form. NSM no-touch trays provide ideal handling and data security. Additional Packs allow the Satellite-system to provide secure "Off-Line" storage of data. And because Packs are easy to exchange, system storage capacity is expandable. The front Packs are "hot-swapable", allowing them to be ex- changed while the Jukebox system remains fully functional. The Satellite Jukebox features NSMs' exclusive "MemoryTrak" system. Each Pack contains an onboard memory device which includes a unique serial ID number. A rewritable area of the MemoryTrak allows the system to write and read important information about the data contents of each Pack. This allows the system to recognize the data contents of the Pack without re-scanning the discs. The NSM Satellite jukebox provides a system which combines fast accessibility and easy management over a virtually unlimited capacity of data.

galaxy

The latest jukebox from NSM, the GALAXY, opens up a new dimension for storing large volumes of data.Using a selection of either DVD RAM, CD or CDR drives the GALAXY has sufficient space for up to 3 TB of data. It is extremely robust, reliable and delivers excellent performance. Based on NSM's vast experience in the development and design of jukeboxes, the GALAXY combines the positive features of earlier models with a whole array of new function which will set new standards in the industry.

The GALAXY builds on this innovative jukebox concept. It can handle up to 620 media for long-term archiving or up to 14 drives for applications where maximum data through put has the highest priority. Like it's smaller family member, the Satellite, the number of media and drives can be adapted to the application's specific needs. This unique feature allows the correct match of storage capacity to performance needed. The GALAXY Jukebox is based on the concept of the Satellite in jukebox design. For the first time ever, it is possible, by using packs, to exchange a large number of media under system control while the jukebox is up and running. The application continuously monitors which media are removed from the jukebox and which new ones are added. This procedure ensures that all the data, On-line or Off-line, is controlled, allowing 100% data accessibility, unique in the Jukebox industry.

The highlights

  • Exceptional Reliability.
  • Leading Industry Performance / high data throughput with Turbo TDD.
