| The New Union / Aurora Volunteer Fire Department, located just outside of Boaz, Alabama, proudly protects 3,500 people living in an area of about 50 square miles. We operate out of two stations that protect a primarily rural area. The New Union / Aurora VFD is a public department whose members are on a volunteer status. Our current ISO rating is 7/9. The New Union / Aurora VFD is a very progressive department that is constantly training and working to be the best equipped volunteer fire department for our families and those we serve. |
| The New Union / Aurora Volunteer Fire Department is organized to save lives, suppress and control fires, provide services, such as EMS, hazardous material recognition, fire prevention, and other activities as deemed in the best interest of the Fire Department or the citizens of our community. The example of the "Good Samaritan" will serve as our guide and motto in providing the best protection possible for our families, friends, and neighbors. |
