| "For the Good of the Hood" is a program designed to give back to the community while building character in the artists and staff of Rock Right Records. Our desire is to be first in the recording industry and first as servants as well. We feel that one of the best ways to share the love of Christ is to take action. Not just talk about it. In the bible (Matthew 25:31-46) Jesus shares a story about His return. In it He mentions those that are hungry, the thirsty, strangers, those that need clothing, the sick and imprisoned and how they are treated by two different groups of people. One group effectively serves the needs of others while the remaining group fails to respond. Both groups are rewarded accordingly. The words that Jesus spoke will forever ring in our ears "...inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to me." It is important to note that it's not the action that we take that gets us any closer to God. We take action because we are close to Him. We DO because He has DONE. No thing that we do will get us into heaven except the act of responding to His call. It is our desire to water the seed of servitude that was planted when each of our artist gave their lives to Christ. Rock Right Records will occasionally create an usable tool to minister to the community. But we feel that there are plenty of adequate programs that are already in existence. Whenever possible it is our plan to partner up with these programs that are already availabe and offer our assistance as volunteers. The numerous organizations, soup kitchens and shelters will offer ample opportunity for our artists to practice local missions work. |
