1. Noah built the ark according to God’s instructions.
Genesis 6:15-17
This is how you are to build it: The ark is to be 450 feet long, 75 feet wide and 45 feet high.D 16Make a roof for it and finish the ark to within 18 inchesF of the top. Put a door in the side of the ark and make lower, middle and upper decks. 17I am going to bring floodwaters on the earth to destroy all life under the heavens, every creature that has the breath of life in it. Everything on earth will perish.
Then come, let us go up to Bethel, where I will build an altar to God, who answered me in the day of my distress and who has been with me wherever I have gone."
3. Solomon built the temple for the Name of the Lord.
1 Kings 5:3-5 "You know that because of the wars waged against my father David from all sides, he could not build a temple for the Name of the LORD his God until the LORD put his enemies under his feet. 4But now the LORD my God has given me rest on every side, and there is no adversary or disaster. 5I intend, therefore, to build a temple for the Name of the LORD my God, as the LORD told my father David, when he said, `Your son whom I will put on the throne in your place will build the temple for my Name.
4. Build up the highway and remove the stones.
Isaiah 62:10 Pass through, pass through the gates! Prepare the way for the people. Build up, build up the highway! Remove the stones. Raise a banner for the nations.
5. There is a time to tear down and a time to build.
Eccl. 3:3 …a time to tear down and a time to build…
Let’s start rebuilding. Rebuild our lives according to God’s instructions (Word of God).
Let Him remove the stones and barriers that hinder us from serving Him. This is the year to build our lives in God. Let Him take full control and expect things to change for good.
