6. A little bit of my past experiences

I did try to search for e-pals (electronic penpals) and talked through written emails. It was really a challenge for me! Before i did it, i thought, “uh.. how about if they reject me, or i hurt them, because of wrong words or sentences expressions??”.

But i did it, i had regular contacts with some of them for about one to two years before i got very busy with thesis and many other things.

It surely makes me feel better about having contact with foreigners and using another languages.

Nowadays, i think we can get friends and speak with them whom has similar interests or hobbies through Skype or Yahoo messenger or MSN.

My another experience was to try to speak English when i got a chance to go to Singapore. When i went there with a limited and simple English speaking ability, i tried to speak it up, not easy at very first time, but when i try to do it again and again, i felt better and gained confident to speak more.

It is really up to ourselves when deciding about keep learning another language or not. And one day, our dream can come true as we keep running for it.
