General Info

First of all, I really don't see the point of this bit because it's not like we don't know anything about the species...but I'll do it anyways...

Men are mortal and bred more quickly than any other race besides the evil Orcs Men are subject to age, disease and the rough elements of Middle-earth. Men are not perceptive to the minds of others, can not see into the future and are less skilled in lore and crafts than other races. They are considered weak compared to the immortal Elves. Men are a very diverse race. Physically they come in all shapes and sizes and inhabit many different parts of Middle-earth. Throughout the ages of Middle-earth, Men rose and eventually became the dominant race.

DOB:TA 2978

Status:Son of Demethor, Steward of Gondor

Family: Parents(Denethor II, Finduilas), Brother(Faranmir).

History: Eldest son of Denethor II, Boromir was a proud man: proud of himself, and his city. After leading the forces against Sauron at Osgiliath, he went to Rivendell to learn of the answer to the dream he shared with his brother Faramir. At the Council of Elrond he was chosen as a companion in the Fellowship of the Ring. Boromir could be credited with Aragorn for saving the lives of the Fellowship on Caradhras, tunneling through the snow to get the party to safety. Boromir was valiant in battle, as he proved in Moria. However, Boromir had been tempted by the power of the Ring since he first learned of its whereabouts, and the temptation finally proved too much for him at Amon Hen, where he attempted to take the ring from Frodo by force. He instantly repented, but his rant forced Frodo's immediate decision to leave the Fellowship, and strike out for Mordor on his own. Boromir was killed shortly thereafter, defending Pippin and Merry from a raiding orc-band.

Name:Miranda Otto

DOB:December 16 1967

Birth Place:Brisbane, Queensland, Australia

Family:Husband(Peter O'Brien)

History:Miranda Otto was born in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia on December 16, 1967. She is the daughter of famed Australian actor, Barry Otto. She graduated from the prestigious NIDA Theatrical School in 1990 and has been nominated four-times in the Australian Film Institute's for best actress.

Otto made her film debut in Emma's War in 1986 and gained critical recognition in 1991's The Girl Who Came Late. She has been in many critically acclaimed but little-seen films. Otto finally got Hollywood's attention with small roles in major motion pictures such as The Thin Red Line (1998) and Robert Zemeckis' What Lies Beneath (2000).

After Cameron Diaz decided to star in being John Malkovich, Otto lost the role in a film she really wanted to do. The director, however, remembered her and cast her in the movie Human Nature (much to Otto's delight). Otto landed the role of Eowyn in the Lord of the Rings trilogy and is Tolkien's only really detailed female character in the books. She spent six-months on set learning sword fighting and horseback riding.

Otto was married to Peter O'Brien in early 2003. The Lord of the Rings movies have gained her world-wide attention, something she's not entirely sure she wants.
