Chapter 4 Haunted Woods

You start this chapter in Haunted Woods. Enter Shadow Gulch to stock up your inventory.
Travel south following the trees and up north again to Von Roo's Castle. (optional)
(There seems to be a shortcut to Von Roo's Castle but I couldn't access it. If you can, pls inform me. Thanks!)
Enter VonRoo's Castle & follow the red line on the map to the basement staircase.
Find your way to Meuka who has imprisoned Von Roo.
Defeat Meuka and use the teleport to orb outside the castle.
Move northeast then east from the castle following the path to the Stenchful Swamp
Move eastwards to locate the Cave of Dark Things where Spider Grundo is.
Defeat Spider Grundo in order to exit cave.
After exiting cave, follow path made by trees to Balthazar's Grove > Happy Fun Non-Haunted House
Go up to the 2nd level of the house & find the stairs leading to backyard exit.
Talk to Brain Tree to get the Word of Power to incite the Four Faeries to fight before you talk to Auger Faunt. That way, you can get a free rest from Auger Faunt.
Trade and rest with Augur Faunt. Have a full stock of damage potion, healing potion and slow potion!
Leave the house to defeat the 4 faeries blocking the path behind Balthazar. After their defeat, the Grove is restored to its original gloomy look. Replenish your inventory before you leave as you might need the damage potions for Terask and slow potions too.
Follow the path that is now opened to Hubrid Nox's Fortress (optional).

Go to Hubrid Nox's Fortress Level 9 to defeat Hubrid. You can get items & experience points for defeating Hubrid! The enemies there give you an inkling of what to expect for chapter 5.
OR you can choose not to fight Hubrid (some people find it difficult to fight him) and go straight for the Esophagor instead.

Personal Note:
Hubrid isn't hard to beat. I feel that everyone should fight him at least once to enjoy the 'experience'...perhaps you can skip him in insane mode as you'd be overlevelled because of the 4 faeries.
Hehe..I admit he is tedious. Don't lose your cool when he heals repeatedly when you just managed to lower his hps significantly.
After all, you have defeated the faeries, why should YOU be afraid of him? If your level is around 48, you should be fine. Doggedly attack/throw potions at him but remember to heal once in a while. Try not to do too much of that unless you have to. Concentrate on grinding down his hps slowly ...and after many yawns you have him down (so did I psych you into fighting him?)

Move southwards following the path to Goo Bog
Move eastwards in the Goo Bog to fight Esophagor.
