1.) Never...I repeat...NEVER give your username and/or password to anyone!
     Not a soul! There are many hackers/scammers out there that pretend to be your friend for sometimes days and then ask "Hey can I see what's in your account?" or say "I know how to give your account thoudands of Neopoints" Don't fall for it. You'll end up trying to get into your account one day and it will either be wiped out or gone.
2.) The Neopets staff never needs your password, either
     They can get it whenver they want! Anyone claiming to be part of the Neopets team that asks for your password should immediately reported. The only real Neopets team username is: theneopetsteam. Anyone else is lying.
3.) Only type your password in on a login screen if the url starts with www.neopets.com
     Look carefully! Not neapets.com or niopets.com and certainly not angelfire.com/hacker/imnotreally/neopets.com. If you accidentaly do that, go immediatly to your prefferences and change your password. If you dont I guarantee your account wont be there in the morning.
4.) Don't change your email unless it's YOUR email address
     Some people will try to talk you into changing your email address to something like [email protected] then click on "I lost my password" on the Neopets site. If you do this, you're basically sending this person your password coz that email you changed it to was their own
5.) You don't need a babysitter for your pets
     If you're going on a vacation place your pets in the Neolodge. "Neositters" need access to your account to watch your pets and, hey! While they're in there they might as well take all your items too...
6.) Neodrive URL's are for your eyes only
     If you give someone your Neodrive URL it's the same as handing them your password to you Neopets account
7.) Trading without a post
     Trading without the trading post is just asking for trouble. More than likely that person is gonna want to see your item first then they'll dissapear mysteriously without giving you the item they promised.
8.) Be especially careful around people on the Scammer List
     They've done it before then they'll do it again...
9.) Selling accounts is against the rules
     People always ask for something in return for their account. Even if the account actualy existed it's most likely empty. Why would they want things if they aren't playing anymore? If it's a second of their accounts they claim to have then why don't they just transfer their things from that account to the one they're going to keep?
10.) You can have HTML emailed to you
     You don't need to give anyone your password for them to help you edit your shop description. They can email the html to you! Just be sure to check it for offensive material that can get you frozen.
11.) There's no program to make Neopoints
     Most of the time the program is either A.) Just an elaborate way to steal your username and password or B.) even worse, a virus designed to destroy your computer. Have fun explaining THAT one to your parents.
12.) There's no super quick way to making NP either
     People will advertise in their shops telling you to buy an item and they'll tell you the secret. The secret is to put exactly what they put in their shop in yours. It's a pyramid scheme and a dirty trick. There's also one that sends you a neomail with a "code" where you place your username and password in it. NEVER give out your username and password!
13.) No you dont have a virus...
     There's been a scam going around where people will say "You have a virus! Give me your password and I'll get it out of your computer!" Okay one, how the heck would they know? And two, what does getting into your NEOPETS account have to do with your COMPUTER? the answer: nothing. Dont fall for it.
14.) Right-clicking shop stuff?
    I gotta admit whoever figured this out is pretty clever. Do NOT right click on an item in anyone's shop unless you want to BUY it. All it does is automatically buy the item for you. NOT give special codes or any other bull the person tries to feed you. Thanks to Neopets this is no longer a problem. Yay Neopets!
15.) My password doesnt show on chat?
     Wrong! If your password is "babyboy" and you type "babyboy" in the chat board..guess what? It'll show up on the chat board as "babyboy" not "*******" Neopets doesnt automatically change it. People post that it shows up as *'s in the hopes you';; type your password to see for yourself and they can run and snag your account as soon as you post the password.
