Oxygen Cylinders: 20 litter & 2.4 Litter mobile cylinder (sometimes 4.2 L) 3. Fluids - Ringer`s Lactate solution , large and small bore I.V. catheters.... 4. First Aid kit - tourniquet , Bandages , Triangles , Cold-Pak .... 5. Baby delivery kit - Scalpel , baby suction device , sterile shits.... 6. Radio communication (The forecast: computed communication - digital maps , direct communication to the ER , daily traffic reports... !) 7. Stretcher , folding chair 8. Fixation equipment - Back Board , neck collar, headvice , safety belts ... 9. Semi-Automatic defibrillator - Electrodes connected to the patient chest by two adhesive pads , operation instructions are given by the Semi-Automatic defibrillator and perform by the EMT. BLS ambulance crew: 2 Emergency Medical Technicians (basic) , and sometime 1-2 volunteers. EMT training: lasts 200 hours - (120 frontal lectures + 80 hours of practice). Qualified EMT allowed to perform: Basic & intermediate life support , peripheral I.V line , defibrillate with semi-automatic device , bandage & fixation by any device , baby delivery ..... EMT I Training: Another 200 hours course. Qualified EMT I can recognize main Arrhythmias , manualy defibrillate in V.Fib (Under Paramedic order) , prepare certain drugs... MICUs (Mobile Intensive Care Unit): 1. MICU with 1 EMT , 1 Paramedic , 1 MD (Non Emergency , sometimes resident) 2. Paramedic Unit: 1 Paramedic and 1 EMT (EMT I preferable). |
