EMS In Israel

The Beginning:

1. Magen David Adom organization is the main EMS system in Israel.

2. Instituted in 1930 , as volunteer
     association and recognized as
     the National EMS of Israel
     at 1948.

3. The first ambulance teams were drivers
     with training of 20 hours of Basic First
     Aid course.
4. MDA is considered as non profit 
     organization. 

Based on payed 

workers and
Volunteers
Squade.

5.  Most of MDA finance is due to the generosity of Jewish Communities
     from the world wide .

These Magen

Associations
are donating
to MDA 
Money ,

Equipments
and Ambulances.

6. During the last decade 3 other Private Companies were established
     and provides ALS care to their subscibers. Shahal , Natali & Hiyat.
