Alexia grew up in a very privilaged family, the Ashfords. She has a twin brother named Alfred. Alexia is a genius, she graduated at the age of 10 and was offered the position of head researcher at Umbrella. She discovered the remains of an ancient virus in the cells of the Queen Ant, and combined it to the notorious G-Virus to make the T-Veronica virus, named after her ancestor. This virus was very powerful. She gave it to her otherwise useless father, Alexander, and he turned into a monster.
Alexia realizes that if she could have the virus controlled, and her cells could adapt to it, she could control her powers. She also studied ants, and idealized their way of life: one queen ant, all of the other ants living to serve her. If the Queen Ant dies, the anthill dies.
Putting all of her trust in her brother, she fakes her death but secretly stayed in a capsule with the T-Veronica virus circulated. 15 years later Alfred resurrects her, and Alexia is far more powerful than she ever dreamed. She can shoot fireballs out of her hand, and poses a great threat to Claire Redfield, Chris Redfield, and Steve Burnside. Wesker, who was sent to capture her, already realized how powerful she was when she smacked him around. She turns Steve into a monster like her father, and later impales him with a tentacle.
Finally, the 3rd form of monster Alexia is turned into pulp by the Linear Launcher.
