Who We Are |
|
WEEKENDS is an initiative by The Concept Markets, co-founded by 3 recent
graduates. It is possibly the
largest ever
locally held fair in a city campus, boasting a potential of 300 vendors and
will be recurring every
first weekend
(Fri to Sun) of the month. We believe that this will be an excellent
alternative weekend shopping spot, injecting the local scene with a breath
of fresh air and giving everyone more choices, more variety, and more
importantly, a culture. |

Our Objectives |

Convert
open spaces into innovative retail uses. |

Encourage retail entrepreneurship by offering affordable spaces. (Create
more than 300 self employment or job opportunities) |

Provide
15% of booths to social organizations for fundraising or campaigns. |

Ensure a
safe, clean and accessible environment for both vendors and shoppers. |

Create
another tourist location to add to the band of Singapore attractions. |

Social Mission |

We strongly stand by our
belief of corporate social responsibility for the less-privileged group.
From our pilot bazaar, City Carnival - Feb 07, we had sponsored 25% of the
total booths (64 out of 226 booths) to the social organizations for their
beneficiaries, fundraising and campaigns.
Henceforth, we would
continue our social mission and sponsor up to 15% of the total booths to
social organizations for each Weekends Fair. In the event of unmet social
target, the remaining social booths spaces that were sold for rental would
be donated to a charity organization. |
