Minimum/General Experience: Minimum 8 years practice training and/or experience in systems analysis or programming including four years of specialized experience in DBMS.

Functional Responsibility:

• Coordinates and manages support efforts from a team of technical experts consisting of computer software experts, and functional area experts to properly understand current database management systems.
• Designs and builds databases using DBMS software required by user’s application.
• Evaluates and recommends available DBMS products after matching requirements with system capabilities.
• Provides instruction to the user on the proper techniques of database administration using the DBMS software.
• Controls the design and use of databases. Controls the global view of databases, controls the access to the databases, assures the safekeeping of the databases (from accidental or intentional damage or loss), and monitors the use of databases.
• Prepares and delivers presentations on DBMS concepts.
• Provides assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems.

Experience: 8 + years applicable experience.

Minimum Education: BS in Computer Science or related curriculum; Experience may be substituted depending upon the extent related to program.
