| (October Meeting - cont'd) New meeting attendee from Hickory Street expressed frustration and lack of faith in Chicago Heights police for not responding to her calls of help to handle the drug dealers/pushers on her street. She also shared comments made by an Illinois State representative who informed this attendee that Chicago Heights does not have a good reputation and asked why she moved there. Another attendee from 17th Street experienced lack of help, cooperation and respect from police when she called for help several times too. Most attendees were in agreement of the lack of activities for kids in our area. Main Issues: DRUGS, KIDS, ACCOUNTABILITY OF PARENTS |

| September Meeting Discussions included: Drivers running the stop signs; Installing peed bumps- a city liability; Neighbors tree leaning into resident's house/ garage; Empty house on 16th Pl-up for possible demolition. October Meeting: Olivia Carbajal reported that Litter-Contol has dissolved. Kids aren't interested anymore. Monthly flyers for meeting notices will cease. All agreed that we should know when meeting takes place by now. Alderman Willie White is now holding ward meetings - not everyone was informed of his first meeting which took place last month; the question was asked as to where next month's meeting will take place; discontentment of Willie's non-action to help/assist our area which is on the border of the next ward. |
