| Rehabbing of house on Scott & Lincoln: Some progess. Fire chief house, corner of Scott & 15th up for sale: Per city, street-cleaners come 1x/month: Residents disagree and want to know exactly when city sweepers come so they can move their cars off streets; Trick-or-Treat time: (?) - 8pm: Greg attended the City Council meeting & this annoucement was made. Please check city or newspaper listings for start-time. Garage Sale Signs: Responsible person will be fined if signs are not removed after. Curfew for Minors: S-Th-10p/Fr-Sa-11p Marathon gas station, corner of Ashland & Lincoln: Has become 'hub' for trouble, especially at night; hard to drive in - not enouch space for cars. Gangs: 'War' against people who owe them money. Eggs thrown on homes on Halloween: Be aware. |
| Positive Suggestions: GiGi Monaco suggested to have an enlarged map of the city depicting all the wards, and our own Neighborhood Watch map... Greg Matthias obliged to make enlargements. FUND-RAISER PROJECT: GiGi also shared an idea she's had for the past few years....making a Neighborhood Recipe Cookbook which will include recipes from Chicago Heights residents, not necessarily from our watch group area. GiGi will spearhead & coordinate this project & welcomes any/all help. Flyers will be made & distributed. Deadline soon. Contact GiGi for more info or how to help. Click HERE for more info. This book will be made available for purchase in time for our annual Holiday Pot-luck and make a great gift.
