Special Thanks to:

       Mr. Mike DeButch,
       Asst. Superintendent
       Chicago Heights Parks & Recreation

For their contributions to our June 21 Neighborhood Watch Awareness (Potluck) Event. A letter of thanks was or is being sent to each of them and a copy to Mayor DeLuca, Chief-of-Police Anthony Murphy and Paula Wakefield of the Chicago Heights Police Department.
NEXT MEETING: MONDAY - AUG 11, 6:30PM
July 14 Meeting

Attendees expressed their concerns regarding the following:

   Loud parties;
   Unsupervised minors playing with
     fireworks;
   Speeding cars;
   Tree-trimming needed;
   Street lights needed;
   New powerline boxes;
   ATV/4 and 2-wheelers and Mopeds
   Street repairs;
   Animal control-racoon problems
   Drug dealings and blockage of streets
     (17th St., 6th Place & Division;
   Loud music
   Alderman Willie White doesn't do
     anything for this neighborhood;
   City Hall discontinued a link to our
     website anymore...why?

Reiteration on the purpose of Neighborhood Watch...we look out for and help each other out.

Residents want these issues addressed and were in agreement to go to the next City Council meeting to bring it to our Aldermen's attention (Joy Faso & Willie White). Block Captain GiGi Monaco said she'd discuss the issues first with Paula Wakefield.

(Conclusion: These are issues for the Ward Meeting, 4th Monday each month, Roosevelt School).
