A fond goodbye to our dear neighbors and Co-Block Captains, the Carbajals. Good luck to them in Texas!

Our condolences to Billy Richard and his family on the passing of his mother, and our friend and neighbor, Lavette Richard.

Condolences to our dear friend and long-time neighbor,  Rosemary Babiarz, on the passing of her son, Greg Babiarz. Peace be with you, Greg's wife and children, siblings John and Mary and their families.

(Rosemary has since sold her house & moved out of Chicago Heights. We miss you and wish you well!)

'passed the torch' and are no longer Block Captains. All meetings will be led by Geoppetto Robinson and Greg Matthias who have been the Co-Block Captains for the last year.

Meeting was led by Geopetto Robinson and Greg Matthias. Attended by Chicago Heights Police Dept. representative, Paula Wakefield.

The following issues were addressed:











Section 8 Housing
According to Paula, Chicago Heights will only allow existing to continue.

New Businesses to Chicago Heights
New businesses are and have been coming to Chicago Heights. It will help alleviate our property taxes.

"Take Back Your Neighborhood" Rally will be sponsored by the City of Chicago Heights. It involve all neighborhood watch groups, starting with our watch group,  and will take place this September . Details to come.

Speeding by auto drivers, motorcyclists, & moped riders.
Need for Stop Sign on 17th St./Scott Avenue.
Tree-trimming needed on 17th Street.
Unattended/unsupervised minors.
Minors out after curfew.
Garbage/Litter problems.
