From the Front Page at the Offical Site

More Shows!

If you haven't visited the touring page of this site or seen any of the posts on
the boards about us hitting the road, then read on my friends. In the middle of
the all this record chaos, we have found the light again. Before we made the
first record, we always played at chain reaction and the glasshouse and we
always worked new material into the live show. So we're coming home!
Those venues just feel so good! The record is not finished so we've been
writing lots of new songs that have never been played outside of the garage,
so you'll hear those songs at the shows. You won't be able to sing-a-long right
away, just find the beat and jump up and down...that's what it's all about. We
are also pleased to have our good friends, The Redwalls, opening the shows.
For those of you who like taking road trips, we are playing 6 hours up north.
The Redwalls will be on those shows, I mean show, as well. So bring your
tape recorders, just kidding, bring your ass to the show mother$u*^ers!!!

Update From the Rooney MB

a little update

hi guys,
first and foremost, thanks for your continued support and interest in all things rooney. we really miss seeing everyone on the road. it's weird because once we get off the road, it probably seems like we have fallen off of the face of the earth...in the meantime, we've actually been busting our chops to get the fan club mag out, finish up album number two, which has now become finishing
up album number 2 and 3 as we will have completed two full records by the
time we are done. we are thinking about releasing many b-sides on itunes or something to hold you all over. unfortunately, major labels have their pros and their cons and speediness is one of the big cons. on the bright side, we have entered another creative burst which has yeilded 12 or 14 bran new songs
never even played live. when all is said and done, the new record is
guaranteed to be radical and worth the wait. here's wishing everyone a happy
spring season. MAD LOVE,

I wanted to fill all members of the boards in on what we're doing now. We have finished all of the songs that we set out to record for the album, however there are a few more we want to add. So we still have work to do. We want
this album out asap, but it takes time to set up. The next 3 months will be
spent on my couch watching crime stories. We haven't booked any shows,
yet. There's some good activity on these boards...this website hasn't been
forgotten! Believe, you must believe...Spread the love. I'm adding a word to
the dictionary, KENNEDY...(kenn-edy) n. one who is relentless in bringing
peace and justice to the world...If anyone has a family member who works for
in the dictionary world, please submit my word.

Ben Lee, Ned Brower, and Grandaddy

Because donating to charity is always in fashion, the clothing line option-g
has created a line called Army With Harmony that will feature T-shirts
designed by musicians, with a percentage of the proceeds from their sale
going to a charity of the artists' choice. The premiere collection, set to launch

Rooney heads back to studio...
after weeks of meetings following the spit and sweat
summer tour, Rooney has tied up all the loose ends
and will head back into the studio for the month of
october. sitting in the captain's chair will be none
other than los angeles based producer Tony Hoffer,
whose credits include Air, Beck, Supergrass, and The
Thrills. Until then, Rooney will be spending hours upon
hours recording, writing, and rehearsing the new
material. Also in the works is a new Rooney DVD,
which will be available sometime around the
holidays. The DVD will include footage from the
Wiltern show as well as tons of behind the scenes
footage, interviews, music videos, and more! stay
tuned.
