Dragonfly Page | Damselfly Page | Home Page

The Common Baskettail is a brown dragonfly with two rows of yellow-orange lateral abdominal stripes. Many individuals have a large brown triangular spot at the base of each hindwing; however, the wings may be clear. The eyes range from blue or green in adults to red-brown in juveniles. They are very similar to the other Tetragoneuria baskettails (Stripe-winged and Dot-winged).
