Services Provided for HIV Clients
Gulf Coast HIV Programs provide case management, which connects clients with services such as medical, personal and homemaker care. In addition, case management assists clients in establishing eligibility for programs such as food stamps, Medicaid, disability insurance, and rental assistance. People living with HIV/AIDS, along with their family and partners, may receive mental
health counseling as part of the HIV program. The goal of the HIV program is to enhance
the clients quality of life in their own home and community. Gulf Coast Community Care operates several apartment buildings for individuals who live
in Pinellas or Pasco county and: are living with HIV infections or AIDS; are homeless or
in danger of becoming homeless; or have a low income. Case management services offer long term assistance in coordination of medical care, financial assistance, and supportive services.
