How much does the test cost?

Some clinics offer the test for free. Fees at other locations very greatly. ASK before you have the test.
Where can I get tested? You may be able to get tested at your local
  • family planning clinic
  • community health center
  • STD clinic
  • hospital

Or, ask your health care provider or public health department.
DO NOT donate blood to get tested.

Will my health insurance cover the cost of the test? Usually. But if insurance pays for the test, the test results will become part of your medical history. And, a positive result can affect your chances of getting health or life insurance in the future.
