Fishing and hunting with Josh Havelin (thats me) is a run at some of my own fishing and hunting videos with highlights from my time outdoors with friends and family. I have migrated some of my previous content to this "brand" account to separate the two channels for personal and professional reasons. I currently live in Southern Maine and have since 2007 where I have reinvigorated the excitement for the outdoors I had as child with my family. Hopefully I will be doing a fair amount of traveling alongside my excursions which will ideally add to the content I can bring to everyone. I aim and do my best to keep most of the content PG, however language can sometimes slip through, I will not however be adding any content that contains other inappropriate topics or discussion. I'm always eager to talk fishing and hunting and can share the tips I don't hold closest to my chest. Thank you for checking out my YouTube channel, tight lines!

The intent and purpose of creating this website is to provide my uncle a platform to share his fishing videos while also a place where he can continie to grow and provide more content to his viewers related to fishing and hunting in Southern Maine. The goal was to create new areas for him to grow in including having a section for his videos with space to incorporate text to go with the video, a section for product reviews, and resources that can be shared with other fisherman and hunters like boat launches, state resources and bait shops. The steps taken to create this site where to create a dropdown menu for the differnet choices, take an existing logo and create a color palate for the site, and full out the site with the information provided.
All of the design choices were made to create a professional looking site. I wanted the site to have a clean professional look while incorporating the colors from the provided logo. So this created the two color palate shown on the site which goes well with the ice fishing theme of the videos he likes to create. The next design choice was to incorporate dropdown menus with our selection tabs. I thought this was a really professional way to incorporate more information and it created the ability to group information together. Like the resources tab had information on bait shops, state resources and boat launches. Both of these choices create a template for the site to create a very clean looking site. Next was to add in the content. The design template is best seen on the main page. The main reason for the page is bold and underlined. Beneath it is the post information with a headline for the post, a date, video, and text to go along with it. Any headline information is using the Open-Sans font to create a bold headline that can stand out while any text information is using the candara font to have it readable, but not so bold. It is accessory information so I wanted the main focus of each post to be around the videos. All of this helped to create a very professional looking site that is easy to navigate and understand the content on each page.
There are many ways that I can continie to grow the site in the future. One would be a way to better fram each post to help differentiate them. I would work on spaccing out the different sections, incorporating a background for each post to have a color difference to further seperate them and putting a boarder around it. All this would help to the reader better understand the differnet sections of the site. I would also like to continue to add pages to the site, like the product review tab. I can also add more content to the reosurces tab to provide more resources to fisherman and hunters in the area. Add more boat launches and boat shop, incorporate state resources and regulations, and provide information to help hunters in the area. I just hope to continue to help grow the site and fill it out with content.
