This video is from way back in December 2018 during early ice. Took a trip with a friend who knows more about pike fishing than me! Had some fun running flags early in the morning and things slowed down towards the afternoon. We were all fishing in a shallow basin near some weed beds running medium to larger shiners, any where from just below the ice all the way to bottom. As the name implies we had some trouble getting away from the bass in the area but still had some fun bringing them in. Tight lines!
Eric and Josh's Crappy Day
January 29th, 2019
Eric and I took a trip to one of my favorite crappie spots, a spot that is likely no secret to our friends and family. We rounded out the day with about 30 SLAB crappie! Some of the fish we pulled in were absolute HOGS! Spent most of the day jigging with some small swedish pimples tipped with small shiners. Again a big shout out to Vexilar, we were using our FL-18 model which has been with us nearly three seasons so far. We bunkered down in my brother's Eskimo QuickFish 3 popup shelter for most of the day, it was a cold one but we didn't have any issues. Also thank you again for YouTube's Audio library and "Another Perspective" by Silent Partner, they seem to be a go to for most of my videos. Always glad to help others with tips and tricks, tight lines everyone!
