ACT COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECTS
    2003-2004
The Fall, 2003 class chose to collect a variety of items for  Blume Children's Cancer Clinic.  Patients are offered a gift from the "Brave Basket" to help provide support when they are being stuck by a needle.  A special thank you to Mrs. Kaus for her support as a liaison and transporter.

The Fall class also conducted a Winter Clothing Drive to assist Mr. Jimmy Murphey as he sought once again to serve the community.  The Baptist Sharing House was also a recepient of warm items as that agency was facing shortages due to the overwhelming demands due to the closing of Pillowtex.
The Spring, 2004 class selected the residents of Eden Gardens as their first project.  The students made cards and visited with clients.  A special thanks to Mrs. Judy Williams who served as the liaison.

During the fourth quarter, the students chose to collect and wrap boxes for a summer camp sponsored by Hospice and collected 763 cans of food to assist Cooperative Christian Ministries' Food Pantry for the displaced Pillowtex workers.
