He married MARY COGDELL 1800 in Wayne, NC, daughter of FRANCIS COGDELL and SELAH. She was born October 1767 in Beaufort, Carteret, North Carolina, and died July 02, 1830 in, Johnston, North Carolina.

ii. BOLD ROBIN HOOD JR, b. November 25, 1803, ,Wayne Co., N.C.; d. January 17, 1873, Wayne Cunty, North Carolina; m. (1) PATIA WARD; m. (2) SOPHIA ANNE GRADY; He did not marry WINIFRED DURKINS, April 17, 1819, ,Wayne, North Carolina; b. 1798, <, Wayne, North Carolina>, September 12, 1830. The Marriage Index is incorrect. Winifred Dunkins married Jasper Howell on 17 April 1819. The BONDSMAN was B. Robin Hood. It was miscopied.
iii. JOHN COGDELL HOOD, b. July 10, 1805, ,Wayne Co., N.C.; d. May 10, 1887, North Carolina; m. (1) NANCY PEACOCK, January 20, 1829, North Carolina (Wayne County?); b. June 06, 1806, ,Wayne, North Carolina; d. October 15, 1848; m. (2) CHARLOTTE PEACOCK, November 28, 1848, ,Johnston, North Carolina; b. 1808, ,Johnston, North Carolina.
iv. DANIEL STONE HOOD, b. January 21, 1812, Wayne, NC; d. Dale County, Alabama; m. ELIZABETH JANE JERNIGAN; b. 1817, North Carolina.
We have sources that name Celia Boon to be the wife of Francis Cogdell
but there was another Celia Boone who married John Wheeler
who was the daughter of Thomas Boone and Alice Winborne. From the book,
"Thomas Boon Immigrant and 1,000 of his descendents",
we learn from Mr. C. Wilson Buck who says;
"Evidently, there were three Thomasas in Northampton at the same time, mine (will, 1796) and two others"
If there were two other Thomas's then there were probably several Boon families in the area
at the time. We just need to do some research to find out which Boon family Celia who married
Francis Cogdell came from.Was the mother of Mary Cogdell named Celia Boon or Selah?
