| Will of Bold Robin In the Name of God Amen.- I, Bold Robin Hood of Barbour County being weak of body but, of sound and perfet (perfect) mind and memory, thanks be to God for the same and calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this Instrument to contain my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following (To Witt) I give to my son Joshua T. Hood my Bed and Bed Clothes, my Silver Spoon, all my hard money, my Trunk and all that is in it, all my Clothes, my Frying pan, and all the tools I brought to this House to him and his Heirs forever. I give unto my son Daniel S. Hood my surveying Instruments to him and his Heirs forever. I give to my Grand Daughter Mary Jane Hood my Silver Tea Spoons to her and her Heirs forever. I give my Shot Gun and my Grindstone to my Grandson Daniel S. Hood to him and his Heirs forever. Also my will and desire is that when my Grandson Daniel S. Hood arrives to the age of Twenty one years that my Executor sell at public sale Six Months Credit at some public place my Island Land in the Fork (?) of Tea River and equilly (equally) divide the money between my Two Grandsons, Bold Bobin Hood son of Joshua T. Hood and Daniel S. Hood son of Daniel S. Hood and Lastly I constitute nominate appoint my son Joshua T. Hood my Executor to this my Last Will and Testament in witness whereof I have set my hand and seal this 20th Day of September 1838.
