Physical Description: An average girl. Has straight brown hair that she keeps cut around her shoulderblades and brown eyes. High cheekbones, a largish, thin-lipped mouth, and something of a snub nose. Is a little shy of five feet, making her tallish, and rather scrawny. Teska wears practical, unflattering clothing, and could basically care less what she looks like. Unlikely to improve beyond her current state.

Personality: Teska is a quiet, hardworking young girl who is far more mature than her age would suggest. The death of her brother's dragon left the largest impact of any of her short life's experiences.She, like the rest of the Weyrbrats, had always dreamt of Impressing a dragon. But after the death of Ifesth, Teska deserted the other 'Brats, preferring to spend time with her brother--whether he appreciated it or not. Cannot understand for the life of her why anyone would want to Impress and risk losing your dragon and your sanity.

Has something of a disdain for "childish" tendancies of most other children her age. Pulling pranks, fantasizing about the color of your future dragon, and not taking responsibility for your own actions are the habits of idiots and children, or both. Is antisocial more because she doesn't like the company of people her own age rather than despising conversation in general. Not unfriendly, but likely to voice a blunt, unsoftened opinion if asked a question. Figures there is no point in beating around the bush when you can just come out and say it.Completely dedicated to being a Dragonhealer Apprentice, and is determined to not see anyone else go through what her brother did. Has a steady hand and an inquisitive mind, and hopes to specialize in surgery.

Habits:A scowler. Whether she's angry, pondering something, or just daydreaming, she's scowling.

Hobbies:Sings with moderate skill, and Lasek enjoys listening to her on his bad days.

History: Born to a weyrmated kitchen worker and bluerider, Teska had a very normal childhood.She simply adored her elder brother, Lasek, who doted on his little sister. Lasek Impressed bronze when Teska was seven, which elevated him above all others in Teska's eyes. However, when she was eleven, L'sek's bronze Ifesth was killed in threadfall, while L'sek survived. Lasek went into a cycle of good and bad days, and Teska took to spending as much time with her brother as possible.

But that certainly gave her some left-over time, and Teska spent it badgering every Dragonhealer she could to take her as an Apprentice. Journeyman Kan caved in, and agreed to take her as an apprentice as soon as she turned twelve. For the last two turns, Teska has been dividing her time between caring for the ever-improving Lasek and her apprenticeship. She was thrilled to be recently taken as an apprentice to the Master Dragonhealer H'zen, although she recognized that it will mean even less time with Lasek.
