Deadlines for proposals from artists and performers wishing to participate in the 1998 National Black Arts Festival have now passed, and our curators and staff have faced the difficult task of assembling a program reflective of the "Sights, sounds and soul of the African diaspora"!
Visual artists who wish to participate in the Vendor's Market should call Devellus Glover at the N.B.A.F. offices, however, as a few positions may still be available (phone numbers are available from the "Contact Us" page). We hope that if you missed this year's deadline, you will plan to join us in July to participate as an active audience member, and that you will apply to be considered for the next National Black Arts Festival as we bring in the millennium!
Limited positions are also available for participants in our year-round Community Education and Outreach programs; guidelines for applications and proposal submissions are available towards the bottom of the ArtReach Program page.
We look forward to your joining us both this July and in the year 2000!
