Soon Valley, is situated between the hills in the Salt Range, a series of hills and gorges from Jhelum to Kala Bagh, in Pakistan. The Soon Valley area comes under the administrative control of Khushab District of Punjab Province, in Pakistan. Mostly the Soon Valley is at the height of 2500 to 3500 feet above the sea level. Only Sakessar Hill is, at 6500 feet above the sea level. Climate of the valley is mild (as per tropical standards), maximum 39C in Summer and minimum -3C in Winter. The valley is about 48 Kms long and 20 Kms wide. It consists of small hills and gorges. The people living here, are mostly Awan, the one and only tribe of Arab origin. They are hard working, brave, & intelligent. They are serving the country in different fields, mostly in Pakistan Army.
