These are sites that don't deal directly with actors or actresses. These are the companies that deal with native film, in whatever way they do?
  • First Americans In The Arts: This covers a lot. It has many photos that are exclusive to this site. It covers some awards banquet held in February each year since '92. This is a site that seems to be updated twice or so, a year. It does have stuff worth checking out. Sometime, this site is going to offer CD's along with shirts, hats, and whatever else they sell. Money from these sales go towards scholarships, and probably for putting on the awards show too.

Here's what's on the title page of this site:

    • First Americans in the Arts is a non-profit organization created to recognize, honor and promote American Indian participation in the powerful arena of the entertainment industry. Incorporating areas of film, television, music and theater. FAITA presents an annual award ceremony recognizing outstanding achievement, performances and contributions by and to the Native American Indian entertainment community.

  • Aboriginal People's Television Network: It lists a schedule of what's airing, and also has an interesting part to this site. You can search for (Canadian) talent. There are other parts to this site. It's in the early stages, so I guess there's going to be more to this site as time permits.

  • Shanandoah Film Productions: You can buy films from here. It's for natives, and I'm thinking the proceeds from sales go to the ones who are responsible for the films, and to Shanandoah film productions.

I think what they have on their front page describes them best.

    • "Producers and Distributors of Native American Videos and products."

"Our prices are designed commercially for organizational purchases and rentals. We are an Indian Owned Enterprise and now represent several American Indian/Alaska Native & Canadian Filmmakers. We feel that all creative artists should be compensated fairly and encouraged for the professional efforts their videos illustrate. Proceeds are shared. Please call, email or fax for catalogue."
