Making her debut on November 3rd 2002 Debbie McAllister has always looked after number one, using her sexuality as a way to further her career she makes a point of never sleeping with anyone below the rank of DI.
She got involved with her first victim after a drugs raid. She had to let the suspect go, but not before getting her claws into his legal representative, Jamie Ross. Ross gave her information and Debbie put it to DI Cullen that he should become an informant. When Ross helped catch a gang of armed robbers, Debbie showed him just how grateful she was. But when he decided he didn�t want to be involved anymore, Debbie hung him out to dry.
However, their paths did cross again and they picked up where they left off. But Debbie discovered that Ross was in it deep with drug dealers and hit men. He agreed to set up a dangerous dealer called Swain, what he didn�t realise is that Swain already knew of his connections with the police. Debbie wanted Ross to be pulled out but DI Cullen let the meeting run and when Ross and Swain left the restaurant, Ross was shot dead by a hired hit man leaving Debbie kneeling by him, feeling very guilty.
Debbie�s most impressive conquest was Superintendent Tom Chandler. After his previous romance with DC Kate Spears ended with her untimely death, Mickey Webb let details of their affair slip to Debbie who used it to her advantage. Telling Chandler that she knew all about him and Spears, she got him right where she wanted him. After the memorial service for officers, including Kate, on 2nd May 2002, Debbie made her move on Chandler, dragging him into a disabled toilet and having her wicked way with him.
Using this special relationship she tried to get new DC Eva Sharpe transferred to CSU, but she pushed too hard and on DI Cullen�s advice, Chandler ended their relationship. He thought he had finished things but was shocked when Debbie returned after a week of sick leave, to find she was pregnant with his baby.
Meanwhile Jack Meadows and Mickey Webb were making enquiries into Chandler�s murky past after receiving some information�
Tom booked and paid for Debbie to have an abortion but she didn�t go through with it. On August 1st 2002 when she tried to show him a scan picture of their unborn child he lashed out and left her with a black eye to explain to her colleagues.
During his investigations, Mickey discovered that Chandler had been put in the frame for the rape of Louise Marsden. Mickey told Chandler what he had found and he panicked. He went to see Anne Merrick, a friend of Louise�s before she committed suicide just after the rape. Later that day Anne appeared at the police station and claimed that Chandler had raped her too.
Chandler begged Debbie to give him an alibi and then proceeded to ask her to marry him. She agreed but made a point of saying she was only doing it out of convenience. When interviewed Debbie gave Chandler the alibi he so desperately wanted and she also told CIB about the baby. All the charges were dropped when it was found that Anne hadn�t been sexually assaulted, but Chandler needed to cover his tracks.
He went to see his brother James, who ended up badly beaten. Mickey and Jack then went to see him and convinced him to give a statement detailing the events when Tom raped Louise Marsden. But Tom had an ace card. Knowing how fond Jack was of Debbie, he let slip about their impending marriage. Jack got an attack of conscience and decided he couldn�t take Chandler down if it meant taking Debbie with him. But Mickey wasn�t prepared to let it drop and he notified Internal Investigations.
Debbie and Tom were married but on their wedding night Tom brutally forced himself on his heavily pregnant wife. The next day Debbie found a copy of James Chandler�s statement and realised that her husband really was a rapist.
On October 16th 2002 as they argued in his office, Chandler pulled out a gun and threatened to kill Debbie, their baby and then himself. The stress sent Debbie into labour prematurely and upon realising that Tom had a gun, Jack barged in and tried to convince him to hand himself in. Instead Tom turned the gun and shot himself in the head.
Debbie gave birth to a baby boy but was intent on putting him up for adoption until Jack made her think again. She eventually decided to keep baby Andrew.
Most recently Debbie got involved with both DS Phil Hunter and DC Juliet Becker. After Juliet was held hostage and threatened by her girlfriend�s husband, Debbie revealed her own experience of being raped and the pair shared a steamy kiss in the toilets at Sun Hill. Then DS Hunter decided he wanted a piece of the action.
After bedding both Juliet and Debbie on separate occasions they decided to set him up� inviting him to join in with them. But he got his own back after realising what they were up to. He sent a stripper to meet them instead of going himself.
However it all ended in tears when Juliet was stabbed and killed on duty. After finding out, Debbie threw herself into a case but broke down whilst working with Phil.
Now with newly appointed DI Neil Manson on her case, Debbie will have to buck her ideas up to impress the new kid on the block, who already feels she is coasting�
