    Last year was the first year for the two-way program in Kindergarten. We worked hard to make everything work, but at the end of the year, we felt the schedule needed to be revised to allow for improvement in two major areas. First, to make sure that the students received instruction in both languages and equal amount of time. Second, to give the students an opportunity to work in their first language, focusing on reading, writing, and higher level thinking.
    This year the schedule is somewhat different than last year. We have insured that the students receive instruction in both English and Spanish everyday, and have also allowed a 45 minute first language block every afternoon.
    It is difficult to show here exactly how our schedule will work. If you have any questions about it, please ask me and I will be happy to explain it further.     		El a�o pasado fu� el primer a�o para el programa de inmersi�n biling�e en Kindergarten. Trabajamos mucho para que todo funcionara, pero al final del a�o pensamos que se ten�a que hacer cambios al horario para permitirnos mejorar en dos areas importantes. Primero, asegurarnos que los alumnos recibieran instruci�n en ambos idiomas por tiempo igual. Segundo, darle al alumno oportunidad de trabajar en su idioma natal, dando enfoque en lectura, escritura y resoluci�n de problemas con nivel de razonamiento mayor.
    El horario de este a�o es distinto al del a�o pasado. Nos hemos asegurado que los alumnos reciban instruci�n in ingl�s y en espa�ol por tiempo igual, adem�s de dejar 45 minutes por las tardes para trabajar en el idioma natal.
    Es dificil demostrar aqu� como funciona el horario. Si tiene alguna pregunta, favor de hablar conmigo y se lo explicar� con mucho gusto.
