One of my favourite childhood pets were my frogs. Living in Country Victoria (Australia), I attended a primary school of 22 children, and we had outside toilets. The school was situated not very far from the Murray River, and bushland. As such, in the girls loo, we always had to check under the seats for snakes, spiders or if we were lucky frogs. The frogs we found were caught every now and then, then carefully looked after in a fish tank at school. Every morning when the teachers came in they would ask us if the frogs had croaked yet, being the youngsters that we were this totally confused us (croaked / died, get it?).
