How to Book a Temporary Nanny:
The first time you use our temp services, please be prepared to spend some time making the arrangements. We will provide you with a client agreement that must be signed and on file in our office. It is important to us that we fully understand your needs. We hope that each temporary assignment with a new client will represent the beginning of a long-term relationship with your family.
Charlotte Talton manages our temporary placements and looks forward to fully discussing your particular needs. Information you should be prepared with includes: dates and hour of the assignment, number and ages of children involved, and special needs, any pets present in the home and any driving required. After matching your needs with available nannies, Charlotte will confirm the placement and discuss the background and qualifications of the assigned nanny. You may then expect a call from the nanny to confirm the arrangement directly and to get any necessary directions.
Advance notice is necessary to arrange temporary services. One week's notice is ideal, though we can generally fill assignments in less time. For Saturday night service, we would suggest calling or emailing no later than Thursday. Longer assignments that necessitate reserving a block of one nanny's time may require more notice. If we are not available to answer your phone call, please leave a detailed message for Charlotte or send us an email.
We do check telephone and email messages in the evening and on weekends, and we are usually able to respond immediately.
Many families who use our services on a regular basis prefer to request a particular nanny. We will make every attempt to honor these requests. However, it is also important that we fill jobs on a first-come, first-served basis. In order to maintain appropriate client priority and manage nannies' availability, we ask that requests not be made directly of nannies, but only through the agency. We know that families value consistency and we make every effort to provide it whenever possible. |
