Strong In Body, Strong In Mind

The two most important factors in a Druid's initiation are two factors which will keep one safe whilst in combat, and safe from foolish actions and thoughts. Well-honed muscle and brain, for a real-life Druid or a role-player will be integral parts of a well-rounded character: thus, I introduce this tiny section of the similarly tiny site with a little useful information. As I have already commented, it would be useless for me to try and offer advice to anyone, based on my own gameplay... yet, in real life, I know full well how invaluable these assets are, and they should be maintained at all cost.

Strength
To raise one's constitution will help enormously, whether dealing with hard-hitting monsters or carrying heavy furniture from room to room. Certainly, in roleplay, constitution and a certain amount of strength are good starting points, so that one can carry as much armour as is appropriate, and also withstand the attacks of certain massive monsters. Some players with 1 con have been killed with one stroke of their opponent's magic: it can also help to keep you in a room, useful even if you rely on spells to do your attacking for you. Finding out about the feats of others can often help to put things into perspective: if you feel too weak to do something, maybe there is another way around it? So explore myths and legends, such as the ones on this site, and find out how true heroes coped with it. Or just marvel at their ridiculous feats of strength.

Wisdom
For examples of some of the wisdom deemed necessary for a true Druid, you can use this link to other parts of this site. Otherwise, for a role-player requiring merely units of wisdom rather than seeking it out for themselves, there can be little help for you, other than (once again) referring to the ways of the heroes, as above. Their problem-solving methods are going to be as close as you can get for solving quests yourselves. Please, never expect anyone who is still alive to help you in such adventures... trust it all to the Lap of the Gods and your own acquired intuition.

Finally, you may wish to consult the brief content specifically for the Druids of Midnight Sun, borrowing advice from the Help Files available on the game or its web interface, and adding a little I have picked up from more advanced players, who still use the traditional Druidic method of passing on learning by word of mouth, rather than writing it down.
