Rungs
From the Chair
Well, we have completed another successful year in living history! The training team of CILH presented an outstanding 2-day preworkshop session at the NIW in Syracuse, New York. Well done team! Each time I work with all of you I learn more about this wonderful profession we have chosen, and I am proud to be a part of this great section! CILH presence at the National Interpreters Workshop was non-stop! With Rich Pawling and the History Alive Boys doing their music before each keynote speaker (to standing ovations) and the various sessions members presented throughout the workshop. This section is well on its way. As we approach the new century it is a time to reflect on where we have come and where we are going. In 1996, many people got together during the NAI conference in Billings, Montana to discuss the idea of a section dedicated to cultural interpretation and living history. Who would have thought at that time that the section would grow to the second largest section in just 3 years, be presenting training workshops at each National Workshop and be well on its way to the first major section workshop in NAI. What does the future hold for us? Only you can answer that. Each month people step forward to volunteer to help with this growing section. Each one of the members of this section hold the future in their hands. The future possibilities for us are unlimited.
