We got back from the mall at like four thrity. I'd got Sean a lot of stuff ranging from bottles to a stroller for when he got older. I sat on the couch with a pint of mint chocolate chip ice cream. Sean was sleeping in his bassaniet beside the couch. I flipped on the t.v. and turned the volume down so not to wake Sean. An hour later Nick came walking in the room witht eh same bag he had at the mall.
"I said I'd show you later, so I'm gonna show you now," he said taking a seat beside me. Nick put the bag on my lap. "Here."
"What do you mean, here?" I questioned strangely looking at him.
"It's for you."
"Me?"
"No, it's for Sean's girlfriend!" Nick joked.
"Yes, it's for you!" I opened the bag slowly and pulled out a hunter green dress.
"Oh, thank you, Nick! It's beautiful!"
"You're welcome. There's more though." I pulled the shoe box from the bag and sat the box on the lap and the bag on the floor. I pried open the lid and saw strappy open-toed sandels the same color as my dress.
"Thank you so much!" I flung my arms around him and hugged him tightly.
"Again, you're welcome, but I have at catch! I have reservations for tonight at seven at Tarom's," he tolde mt as he pulled back from the hug.
"You're serious?"
"Damn straight!" He smiled at me and I smiled back at him.
"Okay." I stood up and dropped the shoes and dress into the bag. "I'll be back in an hour and a half." I started to walk up the stairs but stopped.
"Who's going to watch Sean?"
"Brian and Leighanne," I heard him yell which woke Sean up. A moment later I heard his crying subside and went up to my room.

I grabbed one of my small black purses and walked down the stairs. As I stepped into the living room, I saw Nick dressed in black slacks with a dark baby blue long sleeve dress shirt under a black blaizer. Sean was in his arms while he was chatting with Brian and Leighanne. Nick noticed me and gave Sean to Leighanne before standing up.
"You look magnificent!" he smiled kissing my cheek.
"Thanks. So, do you." I pulled back from the hug and stepped over to Sean. "See you later, buddy," I said softly and kissed his forehead.
"Well, uh...you ready to go?" Nick asked.
"Yeah." I nodded as we walked to the door and Brain and Leighanne followed us.
"Bye you two. Have fun!" Brian smiled as Nick put his hand at the small of my back and opened the wooden front door. "Bye," we said before Nick shut the door.
