My Pets

As part of my family, there were two Silver Chinchilla Persian Cats also two very large Cockatoo Birds. The oldest kitty is a male named Smokey.passes away in February 1999 at 12 years old. He is sadly misses, as he was very protective of his home and family. Smokey when he was 7 weeks old when I got him. He loved to play with his shoestring or chase a flashlight beam across the floor. At times he was very loveable and sure loves to eat. My other Persian kitty is Silver a female. She is not always as frisky as Smokey, but still loves to play. She is now 11 years old. She loves to be petted and pampered. Both my kitties had been fixed as I did not want kittens. Silver is now taking Smokey's place.

My two large birds are Cockatoos. The oldest, and I'm not sure how old he really is as, was bought at a flea market. He is an Umbrella Cockatoo. He is white with yellow feathers under his wings. They are not noted as a talking bird, but he does talk and has learned it from my other cockatoo. He does not care much for the male human sex. He might have been abused at one time and remembers the human male for that reason. He sure does love me. His named is Baby.

My other cockatoo, is an Moluccan who's name is Dusty. Dusty talks and says many things. He has taught Baby what he knows and says. Dusty is a beautiful bird. His feathers are a peach color and under his crest the color is salmon. He is the youngest of the two birds. I got Dusty when he was less than 2 months old. I hand fed Dusty so therefore he only knows me as his mother. He is a very loveable bird and loves to be loved. Both birds like to be out of their cage or on my arm or shoulder. They are great company but can be very noisy and loud. Both birds have a very long life span and will probably live longer than I do.

Just recently I have added to my family a puppy. Now you must admit is the size of a pony. He is a Great Dane and his color is fawn and when stretched out he is 7 feet long. He is a beautiful animal and is only 3 years old. He sure does not like to have a bath, as he dislikes water on him. With this puppy came his owner, Peter Secrist. The dog's name is Zeus and he weighs 150 pounds.

I love all my furry and feathered friends. They are all part of my family and are loved deeply.
