I was previously employed by IKON in their Management Services division. I was last assigned as the Site Manager at their "on-site" location at the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility. (TJNAF or Jefferson Lab - previously known as CEBAF) I was employed with IKON for almost 5 years. Most people know IKON as a general office supply and equipment provider. Previous incarnations of this company included Alco and Legal Copies International (aka- Norfok Legal Copies). At last check, the contract for the copy center and related services are now managed by a different company.
Basically, the Management Services division of IKON manages such services as mailroom, photocopying, courier services, etc. by setting up on-site locations within other companies or government offices. This allows them to concetrate on their core business. At Jefferson Lab, we handled the much of the photocopying, binding, and the pick-up/delivery of copy jobs with a 2 person staff. (Yeah, Ha Ha . . . I had one whole employee) I really enjoyed the environment at this site. Previously, I had worked in many other capacities for IKON, including the Regional Operations Manager. |

I really suggest you visit Jefferson Lab's site if you have any interest in things scientific. There's just something neat about a place that speeds up electrons to almost the speed of light and then smashes them into things. |

I have also worked at various print shops/copy shops, movie theaters, and did the 1990 census (and even a bowling alley/pro shop/contract post office/health club/skating rink/putt putt golf/snack bar combination place) over the years... |
