Winds picked up as an approaching storm headed towards the lands of the clan, whose bloodline had run long through only one previous generation before. Derano, the newly appointed Chieftan of the clan had taken his mate, Endia, and had become the father of 2 wonderful cubs. Solva, and Nanako. But before long, a jealous clan member, one who had been a great and loyal friend of Derano during his adolesance, threatened the clans' lands. Andias was his name, the scourge of the clan. He was banished for an attempt upon Solva's life. Soon after, a great battle began as those who had sided with Andias took arms and began fighting those who were loyal to Derano. The battle waged on until Andias and his minions rose to victory. Derano was slain in execution and Andias took Solva as his daughter and Endia as his mate, who were forced by him to do so. Nanako though was banished for being a follower of his father. As time past, 4 cubs were born to the evil-minded panther. The first was Zaran, a ruthless yet caring son who later became a great leader. Secwa, a poor deranged soul bent on destruction who was raised to be a killer. Then came Siyan, a thinker and not a fighter, who followed in his father's evil paw-prints. And finally there was Zecaa, an innocent and sweet cub who Solva cared for as if he were her own. Secwa and Siyan soon found an uneasy bond and decided it would be fun to ruin a few lives. Zaran was banished after Solva was allegedly murdered and her body disposed of. But this was not the case for her. Now their only worry was Zecaa. So they decided to let him be raised to be a pawn, an instrument of destruction. The once sweet little cub was transformed into an uncaring, unforgiving murderer. Zaran was the first to come. Soon he established the remnants of the clan, and took a mate. Soon Solva met up with him in a rather joyous reunion. But it was short lived. Secwa came to the lands but was subdued shortly after trying to kill Zaran and take leadership. He died a poor death and was missed by many afterwards. Then Siyan came, followed by Zecaa. Zecaa had lost a mate and an adopted daugter to a series of attacks and was in a bloodlust. Siyan took advantage of this, knowing that he could dispose of both Zecaa and Zaran. So then he began to drive Zaran mad with countless threats, about being no better than his own father. Zaran finally snapped and tried to kill the entire clan before Zecaa stepped in and showed no mercy to him by killing him. He soon realized Siyan's plans and killed him as well. Realizing that he had killed Zaran under false intentions, and that he could have been helped he began a state of depression that nearly led him to his own death. But his mate and Solva soon helped him a little, to overcome it. During this time, more furs appeared. They found their current homelands shortly afterwards and decided these were to be the new clan lands, instead of the dark and dismal caves Zaran had found and called home. After losing his second mate to death, poor Zecaa was heart broken. That is when his one true love, Marali met up with him and saw his sorrow. She took it upon herself to love him, and help change him into a nicer fur. They started a family and then became inseparable. Zecaa soon met up with the son of Nanako, Gul'raon. He saw an opportunity in Gon to train and raise him like he had been raised, so he could become the new Chieftan. But it failed terribly and Gon was forced away from the clan, banished for becoming a threat to them. Nanako came forth later and soon met up with Mie'Aga who had come to join the clan after being persuaded to by Zecaa. The Nos'Kalai 'clanners', as they like to be called, believe in destiny and violence. The clan broke away from most others of their kind, and became secluded. And with this seclusion, came a feeling of independence that in turn made them think they had to defend it by learning to fight and become much stronger. Over a short time, most of them developed into a more nomadic leonine state, then their usual individualism, and loner status. Before Derano's demise, fighting was a way of life for the clan. Many tournaments, or "Tylupa'Hiopasi" fights were held. They were comprised of all members old enough who wished to prove their worth to the rest of the members. The fight comprised of two separate clanners, who would be faced off against one another. The fights would usually go on until the rival perished. But luckily most of them were knocked out before they were to be slain, and so the battle ended pre-maturely. Later on, Zecaa put an end to these fights, and the training of warriors. The training had cost too many their lives, and has been deemed un-fit for any clanner or outsider since it had been discovered that it rendered most of them insane afterwards, from much grief and suffering. The clan also derived a language all their own, which is known as "Nal'Reu". Before the great battle, many were fluent in the tongue. But afterwards, only certain descendants remember the now lost language. However, a common saying in "Nal'Reu" still remains to this day. 'Nok'Vakala' or 'Be strong, and don't lose faith'. The status of leadership, was also decided among these fights, and was used to choose who would next lead the clan. The leaders were known as Chieftains, as were their mates, the females, who were known as a Chieftess. They held only a dominant rule over the clan, as leaders yet were not perceived to be any more respected than any other clan member. This was one of the concepts that were held even after Andias, and Zaran ruled over the clan, and is still used in Zecaa's reign. Once living deep underground in the sacred caverns, when Zaran ruled them, the clan now lives in a much more open area above ground. Their lands consist of a mountain cavern from an ancient volcano that died centuries ago, which has a small jungle growing inside of it, with a fresh underground spring that forms some large falls at a point. There is no top to the cavern, so that the sunlight can beam down on the inside, forcing plant growth. The clan's domain also has an old tree, that has become distorted by it's own growth, that it is now used as a place for clan members to heal, or for outsiders to rest, since it is hollow inside. Also discovered, were other areas such as a beautiful valley full of flowers, an oasis that has a small waterfall, and provides for a good home. North of the valley lies the hunting grounds that thrive with much life of prey that serve as the clan' food. A cavern has also been discovered that serves as a meeting place, and another for training in the arts of the warrior, and combat, despite the new order's disapproval of the past beliefs.
