It is the year of the Monsoon! For the first time that I can remember we have had two consecutive rainouts. Since we are off the week of July 4th we will go three out of four weeks without playing. As I write this some of us are planning to play on Thursday July 2... the forecast? Yep, rain! That would bring the tally of wet weather on Thursdays to 9 out of 12 weeks that were wet. And really only one Thursday was sunny. But the course is very green!

The first week of the second half saw some good golf played. Scott Stetler (birdie on #2) went down to the 9th hole with a chance to score an even par 35, but bogeyed the hole to score a 36. But without his partner (in fact even if Ted had been here) he could not keep up with James and Cal who had by far their best combined score of the year. James had a par on #9 and their team played big!

Nick Cavallaro had the week's low net score with a 28, including a birdie on #5. He and Adrian had a big score, winning the final 7 holes to defeat Ed and new sub Sung Kang.

In the closest match of the night, Nicky & Lorraine played Chris & Colm to a tie

Subs Tony Lee and John Vergo played well together and gave Craig & Lynne a victory over George & Skip.

Picking up where they finished the first half, Mike & Bob remained hot in week 9. Mike had a birdie on #4!! This led them to a win over Wendy & John.

Finally Mark & Tony defeated Dan & sub Kyung Ryu. Tony had a par on #9.

No golf on July 2nd. We'll see you on July 9th!
