 | Schedule: The season consists of two, eight week halves.
Matches are played each Thursday. If a week is cancelled for any reason
that half of the season will be reduced by
one week in length. The scheduled matches for the cancelled week will
not be replayed. |
 | Play: Each team member plays all nine holes. The
maximum individual score per hole is double-par. PLEASE keep play
moving smartly to ensure that all teams can finish before nightfall. You
may reposition a ball that sits in the fairway. |
 | Scoring: The team with the lowest score on each hole
(including handicaps) gets 1 point. The team that wins the most holes in
any match gets 4 additional points. If a match results in a tie each
team gets 2 additional points. In the event of a forfeit (losing team
no-shows with no subs) the winning team gets 11 points and the losing team
gets no points. |
 | Subs: If you cannot make a match please arrange for a
substitute. You may bring a friend not on the sub
list but please provide that person's estimated 9-hole handicap
to Mark for scoring purposes.
|
 | No Show Scoring: If one team member cannot make it and cannot
arrange for a sub, his/her score will be calculated using the following
formula: (person's average score) + 10%. The total shots will be
distributed across the nine holes in accordance with the individual Mohansic
hole handicaps. |

First or Second Half Champion
Tiebreakers: If the First or Second Half should end in a tie we will
use the following tiebreaker rules (if greater than a two-way tie, any team that
drops out during any tiebreaking step stays out):
1. The team with the best
won-lost-tied percentage in matches played between the tied teams during the
tied half.
2. If still tied, the team
with the best won-lost-tied percentage in common matches played during the
tied half.
3. If still tied, the team with the
most points in matches played between the tied teams during the tied half.
4. If still tied, the team
with the most points in common matches played during the
tied half.
5. If still tied, determined by
lottery.
|
 | Adding Names to the Sub List: Send any interested person's
name, 9-hole handicap, phone number and e-mail address
to Mark. |
 | Handicaps: You will use your final handicap from last year
for the first three weeks of the season. After that handicaps will be
recalculated weekly. Handicaps are calculated by the formula: (Average
Score - Par) X (90%). |
 | Championship/Position Round Week: On the final week of the
season the first half and second half team winners will play each other in an
18-hole match for
the Watson Twilight League Championship Trophy. The other teams will be
matched up for one final week of play. |
