It was the "Week of the Ladies". Indeed, every team with a woman won their matches.

After winning each of their first 3 matches, Adrian & Nick are firmly established in first place. This week Adrian hit a 56 with a 10 on #9. This was the difference in their match vs. Mike & Bob, who were seen on the 19th hole eating and drinking (respectively) their sorrows away.

Elsewhere, Nicky Visalli had the night's low net score with a 34. This included pars on both par 3 holes. This was enough to keep her and Lorraine tied with Scott and Ted after 8 holes. On #9, Nicky & Lorraine both had bogies to take the match. The shot of the night was turned in by Ted Atkinson on #5 when he chipped in from the trap below the hole for the night's only birdie!

Wendy Kellogg was also on her game this night. She hit a net 35, while John posted a net 36. This match was never close points wise, although many of the holes themselves were close. George had a good night, but Skip's back is praying for hot weather... until then, it's on strike!

Tony & Mark continued their new partnership with a close win vs. Ed & Bernard. This match went down to the last two holes before it was over. Ed & Bernard are obviously planning a 1st half comeback as they have increased their handicaps the most over the first 3 weeks. Woe to the team playing them in Week 4. Oh.... it's Mike & Bob! Mike, can you say "conspiracy theory"?

With Craig & Lynne both away this week, subs Kyung Ryu and Tony Lee stepped in as hired guns and took the match against James & Cal.

Finally, Dan Chess and sub John Vergo defeated Chris Holodak and sub Dennis Yee. In an unusual outcome for Week 3 it was too dark to complete hole #9. Dummy scores were put in to ensure the hole was halved.

The weather this day was not wet, but was cool and cloudy. Despite an early start for Match 1 we were not able to finish. Please keep up with the foursome in front of you and keep play moving this week!

Handicaps were recalculated this week for the first time. The result: yuck!! Every team had their handicaps increase. The most: Ed & Bernard (+11). The least: Nick & Adrian (+1). Pop Quiz!: Which team is in first place, and which in last?

The team that will benefit the most from increased handicaps in Week 4 is Dan & Bob (+6 vs. if they had played their opponent this week).

Only one player saw their handicap decrease over the first 3 weeks (I'm not telling...).
