I was away this week so my thanks go to Ed for collecting the cards.

In Match 1 it was George & sub Pete Jansen giving 22 strokes to Nick & Adrian.  Of course the handicaps are meant to even things up, and they did so literally as this match ended in a draw.  George had a par on #4, and Pete finished strong with birdie-birdie (!!) on #8 and #9.  Nick had the low net of this foursome.

Match 2 was even after six holes as Ed & Bernard and Chris & Colm kept trading holes.  However Ed & Bernard pulled away by taking 2.5 of the last 3 holes to win the match.

In Match 3, Mike & sub Joe Vetrone faced Bob & Dan.  This match was tied after 7 holes.  Mike has really found his game this year and had the low actual score this week with a 39, including a par on #4 and a birdie on #8.  Joe had a par on #9.  This late scoring by Mike & Joe was the difference in this match.

In another close match Scott and sub Carl Morse battled Wendy & John.  This match went back and forth and included 4 drawn holes early.  It was 3-3 after six holes.  Scott & Carl took the match with strong play on #7 and #8, before Wendy's par on #9 narrowed the final gap.

Matches 5 and 6 were not so close.

Tony & sub David Raines started off hot and didn't look back.  Tony had a birdie on #5, but David made the difference.  He started by getting a birdie on #1, and had the night's low net with a 29.  He'll be back on 7/30 to sub for me while I'm in Appalachia.

In Match 6 Nicky & Lorraine defeated subs John Vergo and Stephen Brown.  Lorraine had a par on #4, and John a par on #9.

Remember we play twice this week, on Tuesday and Thursday.  Since I'm out the week of 7/27 and may not get to the scoring before I leave on 7/25 I have posted the schedule and scorecards for 7/30 on the web site.

The outing is only 3 weeks away on 8/13.  If you cannot make it please try to arrange a sub, and let me know either way ASAP.   For those coming please send your registration fees.  If there is another team you want to play with that day go ahead and get the other team's approval and then let me know.

Low Actual Score:   Mike Dobransky with a 39.

Low Net Score:  David Raines with a 29.

Hardest Hole: #4 at 1.9 over par.

Easiest Hole:  #7 and #8 at 1.1 over par.
