On this night Teddy Soohoo was our weatherman, and he brought us fabulous, dry, sunny weather. He took care of us, and we took this night to celebrate his life. We toasted him afterwards on the 19th Hole, where we decided to make future annual "Teddy Fund" contributions in the name of both of our Teddy's.

Then we made it clear to Ted Atkinson that we are NOT interested in making this a threesome!

As for the golf, many of us were away and there were not enough subs to go around. We used 6 subs! Two other teams played with only one player, suffering the full handicap + 10% penalty rule for the absent player.

Match 1 had a history. Last Thursday some of us played 18 holes at Mohansic, where Ted Atkinson swore that he and Scott would shut out Mike & Bob this week. Well, let's just say that things didn't quite go as Teddy planned. After 3 holes it was 3-0 in favor of Mike & Bob. But Scott & Ted came back to win 4.5 of the next 5 holes. Bob & Mike won #9 to force a draw. Ted birdied the temporary hole (#7).

In Match 2 Dan & Bob both played well en-route to a victory over Cal & sub Sung Kang. Dan played well under his handicap for the first 8 holes before running into a hurricane on #9.

In Match 3 John & Wendy gradually pulled away from Tony & Mark. They won the match on hole #7 before Tony & Mark won the final 2 holes. Tony played the toughest holes best with pars on #4 & #9. Wendy also had a par on #4.

Craig & Lynne were both out this week. Their subs, John Vergo and Stephen Brown filled in very well. Adrian played alone and the no sub penalty didn't help in this match.

Bernard and sub Tony Lee both played well under their handicaps this week and took their match vs. Lorraine and sub Kathleen Malara. Bernard had a nice birdie on #8.

In the final match George DeSimone was on fire again. He had league low net and actual scores for the week, including birdies on #4 and the temporary hole (#7). Sub Pete Jansen (playing for Skip) was very good and had a par on #9. Chris Holodak also had a good night with a net 32 score. The difference in the match was that Chris had no sub to play with.

Low Net Score: George DeSimone with a 30.

Hardest Hole: #9 at 2.2 over par.

Easiest Hole: The temporary par 3 at 1.1 over par.
