School
The touching moments of teaching in a rural Chengdu primary school.

What was supposed to be a simple trip to the countryside of Chengdu turned out to be life-memorable experience for the 5 youths.

The youths stayed over a night at the outskits of Chengdu at a peach orchard farm "Dong Jia Le". The producers of the program noticed a primary school next to the orchard farm and suggested them to teach English at the school.

However, the principal of the school was apprehensive of the idea. He thought that the production crew was just there for filming and create entertainment value. The production crews' sincerity finally moved the principal.

One of the youths Alvin, took the job as the main teacher because he taught in Singapore before while the other 4 stayed in the class as tutors.

Alvin taught the children three fruits they often see around them, apple, grape and peach. The children were trilled to learn something new. They had been in the country side all their lives and never got to learn English. They were very enthusiastic and eager to learn.

In return, the children taught the 5 youths to read Chinese poems. The youths felt that the children's willingness to learn was very high.
Time came for the youths to leave and move on to their next destination. The children immediately ran home to get some souvenirs for the youths. Julian was given a bullet shell, and Magdalene was given a handmade chatek (feather toy).

It was an emotional moment when Julian and the children left one another teary-eyed. The children asked when they would be back again. However, the youths knew that this would be the last time they would ever meet again, and didn't know what to say.

The youths were extremely touched by the childrens' sincerity and eagerness to learn. This day will stay forever in their hearts. As the bus left, Alvin's eyes turned red when he saw a card given by a student which read "Mr Yeo, You are the best teacher."
