The
five hosts Alvin, Julian, Magadalene, Pearl and Ban Yong
are all currently undergraduates at NUS and NTU. They
were selected from more than 600 who turned up for an open audition
organized by Channel U, PAYM and Yes 21.
The number was latter narrowed down to 11. The 11 went through a 2 day training course at Outward Bound School, where they were tested on leadership and physical endurance. Out of the 11, 5 of them were selected. They do not consider themselves exceptionally special. They just feel that they are extremely lucky.
