XML

XML is a programming language that enables designers to create their own tags to indicate specific information. It is a standard for marking up data so as to clearly indicate its structure, generally in a way that indicates the meaning of different parts of it rather than how they will be displayed.

Stylesheet

An external stylesheet dictates the format and layout of text in this design. Cascading Style Sheets allow style information from several sources to be blended together.

Thus, website-wide design changes can be achieved by editing only the stylesheet.

ASP

ASP stands for Active Server Pages Microsoft is a NT scripting language which allows you to design web pages that can make displaying, manipulating and editing databases quick and easy. An Active Server Page is a web page that includes program code that is processed on a Microsoft web server before the page is sent to the user. The code is typically used to access data from a database and that data is then built into the returned web page. When a browser requests an ASP, the Web server generates a page with HTML code and sends it back to the browser.

Online Portfolios

Having an online portfolio has become increasingly important. A portfolio web site is a way to reveal your credentials to the world. It allows you to package the best evidence of your candidacy such as artwork, reports, lesson plans, articles, letters, and more in a form easily accessible to anyone on the internet.
