Hikaru Tosam is the main character. After being turned into a wolf by her foster mother Kotake, she ran away from the only person who ever truly cared: her best friend Cloud Strife. Hikaru is a simple-looking character, but her personality isn't. One moment she could be extremely happy and in a great mood, and the next she could be devastated and in a horrible mood. She is extremely dependent on her friends, and will never let them down.

Cloud Strife is Hikaru's childhood best friend. After Hikaru ran away from home, Tifa Lockheart moved in, and thus the story of Final Fantasy VII occurred. When he and Hikaru reunite, strange events and dangerous people start to hunt them down... but for what reason? Cloud is usually full of angst, but Hikaru is the one person who can really get a smile out of him the easiest. He dislikes being reminded of his hard past, but he has a strong-willed heart and vast determination.
